Jeans Decor by Flavio Ongaro: New exhibition at Meidea Atelier

Flavio Ongaro, nato a Treviso nel 1961, inizia il suo viaggio nel mondo dell’artigianato nel 1978 seguendo da vicino i vertici dell’alta moda. Decide di fondere il suo interesse per la ricerca tessile nel denim. Jeans Decor nasce in un ambiente ricco di sperimentazioni artistiche, amore per l’arte e le opere dell’uomo. Influenzato dall’artista Mariano Fortuny, Flavio Ongaro inizia la sua ricerca sviluppando attraverso la manifattura artigianale i temi della natura e l’arte. Sperimenta una vasta gamma di tecniche di stampa e trattamenti su tessuti di varie composizioni, trasformandoli ed invecchiandoli al fine di rendere ogni creazione adatta sia al mondo della moda che all’arredamento. Lo studio materico del denim e l’applicazione della tecnica di stampa sono la risultanza di decenni di lavoro sul campo. Il frutto di questa esperienza decennale è stato successivamente canalizzato nella creazione del marchio Jeans Decor. Il blu, il colore dell’acqua, ha sempre esercitato un effetto calmante e rigenerante per l’animo umano. Jeans Decor trasforma l’aspetto omogeneo del denim in vere e proprie opere d'arte applicabili creativamente in più campi, in particolare modo nell’ambito del design d’interni per tende, divani, arazzi, cuscini.

Flavio Ongaro, born in Treviso in 1961, started his journey in the world of craftmanship in 1978 closely following the top of High Fashion. He decided to merge his interest in denim textile research; Jeans Decor born in an environment rich of artistic experience, love for art and human works. Infuenced by the artist Mariano Fortuny, Flavio Ongaro begins his research by developing through artisanship themes of nature and art. Experimenting a wide range of printing techniques and treatments on fabrics of various compositions, transforming and aging them in order to make all projects suitable both to the world of fashion and furnishing. The study of denim and the application of the printing technique are the result of decades of his work. The result of this decade-long experience was subsequently channeled into the creation of the Jeans Decor brand. Blue, the color of water, has always had a calming and regenerating effect on the human soul. Jeans Decor transforms the uniform aspect of denim into real artworks, which find application in different creative fields, especially for interior design like curtains, sofas, tapestries, pillows.
